Sea and Sky

The black-and-white photographer in me is more attracted at color's subtleties than its extravaganzas: at muted, not saturated tones; at subtle transitions, not harsh contrast; at a reduced palette, not the full technicolor gamut. One of my favorite places to exercise such chromatic minimalism is on the ocean during an overcast day. It is perhaps worth pointing out that the closer color gets to gray, the harder it is to display and print.
